Back in 2006, the population of Banoi was overrun by a contagious, flesh-eating virus. Four survivors realised they were immune to said virus, and managed to escape the island, which became known as ‘Dead Island’. They hoped to put the entire event behind them.
In 2015, under much scrutiny, ITV set their reality TV show, Love Island, in a villa on Banoi. Is everything safe? Or will the contestants be overcome by the virus that rampaged through the island nearly 10 years ago? Time will tell.
